Is there still open land for housing?

I am a new player to the shard. I am loving all the memories that this shard has brought back. I am curious if there is still open land in this shard or is it pretty much all taken up at this point? I remember this being a huge problem in the original as well
Are there big gaps or is it pretty much a roll of the dice to find a place you can wedge a house in?

There are plenty of open spots for smalls. Larger houses... there are still open spots, but you have to search.

You might get lucky running around and finding an IDOC in a remote location or just the spot itself but, more likely than not, you will have to search for a while or bite the bullet and purchase from another player. Most of the time you would only pay 5-20k over the deed so its not that bad. I got 2 towers at deed + 10 before. The deals are out there, just keep a close eye on the housing section of the forums.

you can definitely find a small house spot with minimal effort.
anything bigger, you might have to place a small and try to buy out your neighbor,
or scare them away or whatever you see fit.
also, lots of bigger houses can be bought for deed + money on the forums.
and the sellers are trustworthy to deal with if it's on the forums.

I once ran the whole lands of UO looking for a big house spot. Found some IDOCs. Spent a day doing it and realized that I could have farmed 500k and bought a house for the time i wasted running around saying " all follow me" on my horse.

Once you have it in follow mode all you have to do is hop off and back on bro.

I was gone a lil while...Last time I heard about it it was ALL FOLLOW ME macro.

Yup it is. Then once it is follow mode all you have to do is hop off and hop off and no need for All Follow me macro anymore cuz it is in follow mode already after that.
I seen someone tell someone that other day and I tried it myself and it works!!!!
