I was thinking about what would happen if Derrick was to make the duel pits a non-reg using area.
here is what i came up with.

Pros
More player interaction.
Players will get better at Pvp.
People would go to the pits and duel if there is nothing else to do.
More pvpers due to more people trying or learning to pvp.
People don't duel as much at the duel pits due to reg usage.
Population may rise due to more pvp activity.

Cons
People may over abuse the system, but I don't see how that would do anything.

In other words, no Cons that I can think of.

free skill gain?

Eh, I am against free usage in most places. The tournament is a separate issue due to the fact that you are under a time limit, but even then. If you want to pvp, go get regs. Giving away freebee's just hurts the economy.

this would hurt field pvp big time duel pits are a decent place for fights but field action is where they pvp should be not in a lil pit area

i visit the pits 20x a day and never once have i seen people there..

Suggestion.
Place pit in t2a far in a random area.
Can't recall area.
Non harming duel pit.
Can be flagged outside of pit.
No skill gain.
Usage of regs isn't infinite.

This would create a area where you get to you can get pvped on the field trying to get there and cant get in until non flagged.

Would create a fun environment for people who suck at pvp and want to train against better people.

Again...unlimited gear hurts the economy and it hurts every other pvp spot. If you wanna fight, buy your regs. If you need equipment, buy it. If you want potions, go buy them. I think any of these 'dueling areas' would be disastrous to add.

I think this is a great idea. I don't know of one spot that I can find pvp consistently or at all really. The only place I know to go to is the orc fort, but that isn't even pvp. This would enhance the shard a lot. I feel like once your character is x7, you have a decent size house, and enough supplies there is nothing left to do if you can't find pvp anywhere. The only place I ever get to "practice" my pvp is the tournaments.

You must not go to any dungeons then. I never have to look more then five minute to find people to pk. Now if you were referring to finding actual pvpers like O/C etc, then that's a different story. But even then, i usually have no problems finding people.
