Suggestion: CTF

I know that CTF is NEA, but that's not what this is about.
The way the teams are decided in CTF is open to blatant abuse and exploitation to gain silver. I've seen this happen for months now. All I suggest is that teams are completely randomized regardless of guild or anything. That way, if the teams are horribly unbalanced, its just a random number generator that decided it, not a Guild abusing the way CTF chooses teams.
I know, wah wah wah, but its just boring win or lose to be in games where its 111 - 0 or something along those lines. Lord knows I don't need the silver, I just think this constant abuse of the way the system is setup is EASILY avoidable by just randomizing the teams.

Much of the silver system is just abused. But I agree. The few games of CTF ive tried to play are lame. Within the first 5 minutes the game is decided, half of one team quits, and everyone else just stands around earthquaking. Theres no tactics, no team work, its boring.

The best solution is remove CTF and all other trammel events completely and allow 'silver rewards' to be purchased with gold in Brittania(aka Felucca).
But if we can't get that done then I agree randomize teams and implement these things:
1. Make explosion potions hurt everyone including your own team.
2. Make EQ hurt everyone including your own team
3. Allow teleport spell if not carrying flag

To add...I was shocked when I learned EQ only hurt enemies. And I am still in favor of a CTF league as opposed to automated games.

Who (specifically) is going to run this supposed league? No one who has tried in the past can keep up with the demand for games or keep up with running them for an extended period of time without moving on to other interests. This is not to say that I support automated events, but that there are not people here who only play the game to make multiple events per week for everyone else to enjoy (except the staff

)

100% randomized teams is the way to go.
You join and when the game starts you are put on a random team - regardless of anything whatsoever.
Unfortunately if you made EQ damage your own team this would make it exploitable - you could damage your team who could not damage you back.
EQ = smelt it.

I could see how you could "throw" the game by casting EQ on your own team to help your buddies on the other team. Tough call on that one.

THough to be fair, you can already 'throw the game' by just not playing. Though I suppose that takes more people.

If there was a voting button I'd vote "yes" on 100% random teams. The sign up book would be one list only and it would just split from there.

I've never gotten to play Bag Ball myself, but I would imagine that is true.

its very true i suggested it long ago when it use to be played more considering its all player skill people would stack a team like Uoh and blackfoot and would always win
