Poison, auto-defend and hiding.

I am pretty sure I remember that if:
i) A poisons B and B then tabs out and hides; then
ii) A walks up to where B was hidden; then
iii) When the poison next did damage B would autodefend thereby revealing him unless he tabbed out quick enough.
I think this is how it operated, every time the poison did damage it counted as a seperate offensive act.
