The simple fact that we've had 10+ years of experience to learn the best way to gain skills, macro efficiently, amongst other things completely throws that debate out the window. Add razor into that + plenty of time to learn how to properly create and manage macros add a whole new twist to the game.

You cannot compare 1999 gameplay to 2011 gameplay, period.
Not to mention that this shard has been running for far longer than the t2a period in production shards.
I wish I could fit all of this in my sig.

Stables are full, too bad, deal with it.
This happened in T2A on OSI servers at least some of the time.

Please keep your posts on topic and constructive. I do not believe calling others a crybaby and telling them to shutup fixes anything, and is not in the slightest constructive towards either side of the debate.

He was being constructive. The point is there were no stable limitations then and there aren't going to be now.

There is no good reason for completely breaking accuracy to create a "fix" for one's stable laziness.

Honestly I don't use the stables ever so I don't care one way or the other, but understanding what Kaivan said I wonder if what Faust claimed could be addressed.

Now you did it. Every kewlio is going to gank a stable master today! :O
YES don't kill the stable masters hehe. The only reason I did it was because I
was curious to know what would happen. Now that I come to think about it, it
was a pretty stupid thing to becuase I didn't get anything good by killing it,
and not only that but lots of ppl lost their horses (but since It was Abyss, I
didn't really felt bad about it). And of course It's is just a pointless waste
of time and money (regs) not to mention that most probably you'll get killed.

I have bugged/expoited maybe a 2-4 times to OSI. I think they have it taken
care of by making stable master invunerable.

I think there may still be an exploit with archery for shards that don't
have invunerable stable masters, I haven't checked them lately so I don't
know which ones have it.
Also in the Taming guide there is mention of there being multiple stable hands per stable.

Furthermore, stable masters should be very very strong (probably 3000+ str).

Problem solved?

Two things...
1. Are stable masters not suppose to be invulnerable?
and
2. If a stable master dies, all pets in it should poof. Could this be an era accurate reason people never horded tons of pets and the stables were 'rarely full' (in quotes because its what others have claimed)

Stablemasters were given invulnerable flags during T2A based on the fact that pets were stored on the stablemaster itself. They also went to great lengths to ensure that stablemasters retained that status later on as well.

Limits on stables.. Then limit houses.. People hoard houses as well.

This is only half true. I say that because only a fraction of the production shards had invulnerable Stablemasters.

During the start of T2A Stablemasters were not invulnerable. Somewhere near the end(or middle) of T2A, OSI staff started implementing the invulnerable status on some (but not all) Stablemasters, on production shards.

It is likely that all production shards had invulnerable Stablemasters by the time UO:R was released, however, it is unlikely that all of the shards had this perk before November 23/99 (UOSA cut-off date).

It's era accurate either way.

i have come to accept the fact that u will have to earn your stable spots now, and as a couple of ppl have stated its similar to housing that you want but have to wait for it to become available,as with this killing of stablemasters, if they were to actually die, would that mean the loss of all stable slots once again? i only ask this as yesterday i managed to grab 2 extra slots.
