Colored Armor

I can't craft colored armor... I'm trying to craft dull copper, i currently have 66.1% blacksmithing but it just gives the message 'You can't work this strange and unusual metal'. The wiki said i'd need the required skill for it.. which is 65% mining(?), so it'd be 65% bs? Before 65% blacksmithy the skillmenu wouldn't open. Now it opens but i can't crafted. Please help i've searched all over the forums and nothing...

maybe somwhere on stratics im not really sure
i woudlnt use your coloured ores until you have a really good smith so you can sell them at ahigher price

It needs to be 65.0 base (real) skill I believe. You can check this from the skills menu by pressing the "show real" button.
