Client appearance question

In the attempt to remain era-authentic, is there a reason why the client itself is not t2a specific? In particular is the status menu-bar - is there any particular reason why we're using the post-diablo II makeover player status bar?

*** edit ***

I realize this is the client executable that controls this... Is there a reason why the latest (or as much as appears to be so) client is being used?

This is an option in Razor. i'd like to modify the client to show the old status memu by default, but haven't gotten to it.

You can turn it on here:

I found this on my own actually but forgot about my post until just now. I'm obviously new to Razor even if old to UO...

Thanks!
