UO Second Age

Well, like the title says, I'd like to get a house.
Sooo, whats the best class or character to make to do this, to earn gold that is. (I'm sure I'm the first one to EVER ask this question right?) lol

Also, what would the best skills and points and such be? Stats?
I've read lock picking and tailoring seem to be the best.
Keep in mind i'm pretty much a complete noob.

Only one suggestion, there are many others -

Bowcraft is a very safe, if dull, way of earning easy cash for a first house.

50 Bowcraft, 50 Lumberjacking. Go to Skara Brae (there are about 6 bow buying NPCs there).

Chop wood, make bows (you can use your newbie dagger and it'll never break), sell them to the weapon related NPCs and the Ranger guild NPC. You can also stop by the sheep field now and then to shear the sheep and sell the fleeces to the tailor in town.

Eventually the NPCs will stop paying a decent price, at this point hop through the moongate to another town and repeat.

Bought me my first house, and a few others too.

LPing? Good luck! You'd need to do dungeon chests to get any decent money, and that requires an ivestment.

I'm working on getting a tower, after a few days of killing ogres, I have almost 180K, seems like I'll get it soon, but it certainly is a haul.
