Is it best to generally match your eval skill with your resist in the same way that you should magery or should I just train eval to GM then start training resist?

Doesn't really matter. Resist gains are supposedly tied to damage, not Eval skill. Of course Eval is correlated with damage, but not a big enough factor to worry about. A while back, myself and a few other players tested this out and couldn't really spot a difference between 100 eval and 0 eval when training resist.
