Greetings and a couple of questions....

Hello everyone, just getting started on this server and had a couple of questions that I can't seem to find answers to on the forums. Perhaps some of you can help me out...
1st - I read some conflicting posts in the guide section and was wondering if I could get a definitive answer. If I hit someone with a dp'd weapon and poison them, can they heal through it or must they cure first? I read somewhere on here that poison can be healed through. Second, does the weapon wielder's poisoning skill have anything to do with the % chance to inflict poison on a hit, or is it based on the poisoning skill of the person who poisoned the weapon, or is it just a flat %?
2nd - Can someone with gm wrestle and arms lore disarm opponents?
3rd - Is there much housing space available here?
Thanks in advance,
Bishop

If you are using bandages it will heal the poison. If you are using healing spell/wand/potion, it will heal through the poison.
Poisoning is based on the skill of the POISONER not the person who is using the weapon.

No, that stuff came after this shard's target era.
3rd - Is there much housing space available here?
It's slowly getting filled up. Plenty of good places round though.
Oh yeah if you want to join up to my newbie guild PM me, I give newbies places to macro and help and stuff.

Thanks guys, two more questions if you don't mind:
4 - How does insta-hit work?
5 - must your hands be free when casting spells?
Thanks again.

Basically there is a timer on certain weapons.,. for hally, if you havent hit anyone for awhile, and you cast explosion on them and arm your weapon, it will insta hit once your explosion hits and you are attacking them. But given that you just got a hit, you probably wouldnt be able to get that hit/swing again until you have casted another 2 ebolts. You will get used to it.
Your hands must be free of weapons in order to cast.
Spellbooks and runebooks are fine
Luckily razor has an autodisarm function that when you select to cast a spell it will auto disarm you.

Which by the way is totally lame and makes playing a tank mage way to easy

Couldn't agree more.
I loved UO when there was no 3rd party apps, no razor/uoassist and ESPECIALLY before roger wilco/team speak/vent.
