UO Second Age

Basically, i'm trying to get a feel for what everyone thinks are the best screenshots and .rpv's on this shard. I was thinking that if we could get a basic list together that we could edit them up into a few YouTube videos to help promote the shard.

So...start posting and linking them up if you would please and lets get this ball rolling.

Specific Items:

• Bazooka's Magic Arrow and House Drop Event
• Stablemaster Shenanigans
• Mikel Melee'ing an AW

Bazookas (killing with magic arrow on WBB roof and recent event) and lelouche killing the Minoc stablemaster come to mind.

None of that would promote the shard too well, though. Especially not to Uo newbies. With the exception of Mikel's vid, they're cool/funny because we're vets and understand the game...

If it were my project, I'd try to showcase a good mix of PvP and PvM in a way that's accessible to people who have never played. Show the game's variety and depth with the housing system and sandbox gameplay, but also the unique and skill-based mechanics.

Oh, it would definitely have to show every aspect of the game to be done right. Start listing out some specific stuff and we can start pooling the stuff together.

I believe that showing people that have never played before that you can own your OWN house and keep all your stuff in it is a BIG part of the success of this game. Along with some good pvp and maybe show a before and after of an IDOC to get them excited would be good too.

A provoking video, one mage/provoker running around pairing up some titans and cyclops in cyclops valley.

Things that would draw people to UO who have never played:

Player housing
Animal Taming
Fighting on Ships
Murdering and looting

Can't think of a lot of games with all these features.

Yeah u really need to hand the nostalgia on a a big plate,

- Maybe reinact some of the old epic screenshots of roleplayers fighting dragons on foot and getting fried by firebreath with lots of OooooOOoo's.

- a tamer taming their first mount

- closeup of backpacks and thief stealing near a bank

- dungeon crawls

- spellcasting

IMO some of the player run events and IDOC's can put players off as the 1337 talk destroys the atmosphere of the game.

Maybe im being too "back in my day", but thats just how i envisioned the game all them years ago ^_^.
