Monster Mechanics

Theres a few things, some of which are perhaps currently being worked on.

The speed of certain enemies seems a little fast. I don't remember Humans running at me like they do now. Maybe I'm recalling that wrong.

Some creatures seem to have expert pathfinding skills. I remember being able to use a single stalagmite to block a creature, and he was utterly confused as to how he should get to me.

Finally, the breaking of crates, boxes and other objects that prevent movement. I'm honestly not sure when this was implemented, but i do recall boxing up balrons and EVing/BSing the crap out of them, all from behind the safety of my elaborately crafted maze of boxes.

Yeah, but there was a point where no monsters broke boxes. I'm curious as to when that was.

Dec 21 1998:
  • Monsters will pick up and destroy items that block them as follows:
    • The item must be moveable.
The creature cannot be a pet.
The item cannot be locked down.
      The item must be impassable.
Monsters can destroy an item anytime.
Human NPCs must be attacking someone to destroy an item.
Animals must be attacking someone to destroy an item.
The creatures will destroy stacked items one at a time.

Alrighty! Thanks Derrick.
