Clarification on Shard Rules?

Seeking clarification on a possible rule that myself and many other people have no idea of...

We were talking about how a new bard can just create a new character in a slot he wasn't currently using to get a newbie instrument for that character. Intention was to help out a new player.

I was told that my advice and/or tactic was a bannable offense. This is complete news to me...and about 2 dozen people that I happened to talk to after it was brought up said the same thing.

If this is so, I would like to get an official word on this or directed to where said Official Word has been posted. My opinion is that if creating a new character so that you can have a newbie outfit ( or instrument or whatever ) is illegal that such a rule is completely absurd. Its an empty character slot on your account. There is a 7 day timer on deleting any character. Its not like you can break the game with it, so I fail to see the issue.
[20:49] <Affliction> Hey all, are instruments indestructable or not on here? I read on forums they were which suprised me, but also that they weren't...
[20:49] <Affliction> Was just hoping for someone to clarify this for me :P
[20:49] <Lightshade[C^V]> if you start a new character with musicianship
[20:49] <Lightshade[C^V]> you will get a newbie instrument
[20:49] * Infantry (~[email protected]) Quit (Read error: Connection reset by peer)
[20:49] <Lightshade[C^V]> that you can keep if you die
[20:50] <TrojanCow> They cannot be killed
[20:50] <Lightshade[C^V]> and it won't be broken
[20:50] <TrojanCow> The instruments you can on creation are newbied and cannot be stolen either
[20:50] <TrojanCow> *get
[20:50] <Lightshade[C^V]> So if you want a bard, i'd make an extra character with musicianship to get the newbie instrument.
[20:50] <Affliction> Wow... Awesome :)
[20:50] <Lightshade[C^V]> Can always delete the extra character in 7 days.
[20:56] <@Braden> Lightshade[C^V]: You really do want banned.
[20:56] <@Braden> What you are suggesting is against the rules
[20:56] <Lightshade[C^V]> ?
[20:56] <@Braden> Creating characters just to get newbie equipment is a bannable offense
[20:57] <Lightshade[C^V]> News to me, could you point me to that rule somewhere that I can read it?
[20:57] <chainsoar> wtf
[20:57] <Lightshade[C^V]> I am pretty sure half that shard has broken that rule, then, and it should be told to many people.
Anywho, would like a word on this. From talking to people, its obviously something that few are aware of if it is true.

This is not a bannable offense unless it's being done on accounts in excess of the three account limit. The 7(?) day wait on character deletion was OSI's thus effectively our solution to newbie equipment farming.

Naw, Braden's trying to protect the shard from the bad guys. He didn't mean no harm.

Aye, sorry for the confusion. I was under the assumption that it would involve the creation in excess of the three accounts. After re-reading what Lightshade said, he said characters, not accounts. Too add to it, I said characters instead of accounts. Oops!

Sorry for the mix-up.
