You can try, but the game won't let you. He has a protected name. Once you rise to the level of an elite member, nobody can copy your in character name.

There are no events or sanctioned duels, which I recall you were a fan of on Metro. The action has its ups and downs, but there's usually enough to keep me entertained and I only play 8-5 mon-fri. Peek times get crazy, or so I've heard.

I mean the only availability I have is within that time. I'm not on continuously 8 hours a day, but the only time I can possibly be on is within that 8 hour window.
