I use to play from game creation to either when EQ came out. Most things don't seem the same. Where does T2A fit into this timeline, or did I miss out?

You aren't even sure of when you played, nor did you give any examples or evidence.

I think I played 1997-1999. When was T2A, after 2000?

Wow. Maybe I spent too much time on test center, because most of this doesn't seem familiar. Was factions before that? I remember that being there.

Factions was added several months after the UOR publish, which was implemented in April of 2000. However, you may possibly be thinking of the Abyss faction system which is where the UOR faction system derived from. If this is the case that was mostly active during '98.

Is there a thread on here that covers the things that abyss and siege had that the other servers did not?

What was the difference between the two?

The Abyss faction system was a test center style, with a very chaotic no structure system in place. It was essentially color wars also a nude team. It was pretty fun though. The new faction system is a structured system with Britain, Minax, Shadowlord, and Council of Mages warring against each other. The older system had red, green, black, orange, yellow, purple, and nudes. I'm sure that I probably forgot a few in there. There were much more factions in that system though. The Abyss factions never went on a live server. The Abyss server was the only unique test center server to ever exist on OSI.

Hehe if we wanted a faction system we could always be somewhat era accurate and have a bob's and freds faction.

Order/Chaos is this era's "factions" people just don't use the system the correct way for this to exist (instead of warring everyone and going Chaos or Order, just go Chaos or Order and then you pretty much have a faction system.. player built)

Ah yea you got me there sir, I always forget about order chaos being a faction for some odd reason. I guess it's because they are not fighting over anything..that and chaos always seems to outweigh order and it seems a bit one sided. I have no idea how the standings are on here though.

I'm pretty sure the green/red/blue town faction was going before I quit playing.

That's untrue. There were other interesting shards made live over the years. Santa's Slay was one i remember quite fondly.

Santa's slay wasn't a test server. When I say test server I actually mean the typical test setup where you can receive free skills either through a command or skill gate. Santa's slay didn't have this type of setup. The Abyss server was live for almost a year without any wipes. Santa's slay was only active for a less than a week.
