Why is it that nobody wears leather armor?

I haven't seen a single person who wears it or a vendor who sells it

I wear it.

During t2a leather armor effects the mana regneration rate like every other armor.

It doesn't affect meditation at all, correct?

This is a t2a shard so leather armor does effect it here. That is why you don't see anyone wearing it here.

If you can meditate with what you're wearing it doesn't effect your passive med? In which case leather is fine?

You can actively meditate through any type of armor as long as it isn't to the limit for the skill. However, even with armor on your passive and active regeneration rates are slowed with the more armor you are wearing.

Thats why I hated T2A.

I macroed with a plate chest piece on back in the day. If this doesn't currently work than the limitations on meditation are incorrect. The reason to use something like this is to slow down your regeneration rates for more chances at gaining.

What you said made it sound like you can wear a full suit of plate, and still actively med, but I get what you're saying.

Oh, no. I'm saying that you can wear any type of armor and actively meditate, so long as you do it under the armor limitations of the meditation skill.

Wasn't it correct that any metal attire, including jewelry destroyed regen rate? For some reason I remember never wearing jewelry for this reason. I do remember leather slowing down regen, but I definately do not remember it well enough to comment on the accuracy of this shard.

Being able to take no loss from meditation while wearing leather armor was introduced during the UOR publish. It is definitely accurate to the era here on that matter anyways. It was possible to meditate through metal armor, it just didn't regenerate very fast at all. If you take a look at the '99 stratics site for meditation it lists several different suits that even include plate.

There's a Med guide in Guides section copied from Stratics, by Xena Dragon that lists suits that were meddable in, our system precisely reflects that guide, including the comments on leather.
