Holding target through gates.

Not sure 100% on this one, but I don't believe you can hold target and go through a gate and it still register.

This property is a function of server lines. On OSI, if you had a target cursor up, and crossed a server line, you would retain the cursor, but would lose the spell. Since we don't have server lines here, that functionality is not present.

Have they scrapped looking into creating "server lines" on this server?

Adding server lines has never been a significant priority for a few reasons. First, it requires us to reorganize RunUO in very significant ways in order to produce operational server lines. Second, we don't have access to accurate information regarding the locations of the server lines during the era, and finally, reproducing server lines may potentially open the door for duping, which is a bug we will not replicate.

I believe UOAM still shows the server lines fairly accurately, though I understand it opens the door for things like duping (obviously not wanted) and would be a lot of work. Just a passing curiosity.

I understand, and it's not being entirely ruled out, its just very low priority.
On the subject of server lines, I believe that UOAM shows UOR server lines, which were significantly different from T2A server lines. I'm not entirely sure that this is the case, and have no real information one way or the other at the moment.

Server line would increase the server maintenance cost (more server needed) but would reduce save time by tons no?

Not if virtualized, but if I'm reading it correctly, it sounds more like if implemented it would be emulating the effects of server lines due to RunUO not being written in such a way as to accommodate it naturally.

This. It would most likely have to be emulated if they ever decided to do it.
