What is the best/most popular PVP skillset in T2A? It's been so long since I played UO I can't remember.

I have a 2x GM med-warrior character who generally pwns a 7x GM tank mage 1v1. Regardless, I think there are LOTS of viable non-7x GM tank mage templates out there that can be competetive (in fact, if you are a warrior character and you actually know how to PvP with him, then you practically can't be killed 1v1 with a tank mage... and even if they survive your attack, then they will be on the run most of the time).

The real key is how good at PvP you are, and adapting PvP to a different build is definitely possible; you may have to be a bit adventurous in figuring things out, though.

I think too many people make a build, get pwned (mostly due to their lack of PvP experience), assume it's their build's fault, and give up on it without really delving into the possibilities or adjusting it in some way. Unless you've made some really poor build decisions, it's PvP skill rather than character skill that determines how good you are.

everyone complains about mage being the only viable 1v1 template, but they couldn't be more wrong.

the only 2 things that scare me are sandro and a well played, well equipped dexer

Well . guess I will have to swap out Maces skill for swords...

Macing was the a few years ago lol!

Macing is still viable, the only reason everyone uses hallies is because they have the highest top-end damage for burst, they are FAR from being high on the top DPS list, meaning some maces can have higher sustained damage.

Macing can be deadly in the field if you can fight someone long enough to make them use all their reds. Each combat skill has its pro's and cons, just because the majority of the server is using swords, doesn't necessarily mean it's the best for everyone

It all depends on your play/combat style really, but I'd say go for it.

Aw, you don't have to fear me, bro.

Every time I get on my dexer people cry that I'm not playing a real character. It angers me because their tears get all my loot wet. I've also had success with a hybrid mage/dexer, but I'm not really good enough to play the template well.

If I could actually be bothered to PvP here on UOSA, I'd definitely roll with a medi-warrior or a pure dexxer.

Can't find any desire to Vas Ort Halberd.

if you're not at least borderline rich, the tank make is the best pvp build. if you have enough money/magic items, the dexer is the best build. but you will have to load your character with all the gear: thunder/DB/GT weapons, tele, invis, reflect items & the best armor & potions along with frenzied ostard or mare. if you can afford to do this, i think fencing and macing are the best. imo charged war axes are the best weapon in the game for any dexer. they hit hard and fast. add spell damage and it's very difficult for someone to get away as long as you're purple potting and hitting them every time.

Magic macing weapons appear to drop more frequently. You can also substitute wrestling with hiding depending on what type of play style you have.

when i killed you ingame about 10 mins ago you left quite a few potions on your corpse. you probably should have chugged chugged chugged.

This is the bee's knees for field PVP.

50 int is great for a few reasons:
EQ
Meteor Swarm/Chain Lightning
4 greater heals
impervious to mind blast

When played right, this template is completely overpowering.

Also, this template is pretty effective for solo field pvp

Oh you mean when it took you 10 minutes to kill my unfinished char with 80 resist and 90 magery?? And the only way you killed me was u had to use a ghouls touch bardie???...reeeeaaalll tough!
