UO Second Age

Anybody have one of these? I'd like to see it, maybe try it on.

Unless there were one or two from when the server was first up a year ago, I do not know of any that exist. They are not a t2a item, so I doubt they ever will. With that, I must have left OSI long before a polar bear mask (never heard of it), but it would have been pretty cool.

its a trophy turn in item. basically its a white bear mask. i think somebody got one, didn't like how it looked, and dyed it grey

This is merely a rumor I made up a year ago. Thats my story and im sticking to it, unless I actually see one on secondage.

I think these were t2a... or it may be pre-t2a. I know they spawned on mobs (not polar bears from what i remember), these along with bear and deer masks were common way back when but at some point i think they stopped spawning and became rare.

Polar bear masks were most def a spawnable item but im guessing it was pre-t2a?

and for the OP i have been loooking for one for 2 months... no luck.

Coffee has a shadow colored one but he thinks it looks like shit.

Yes it was a minior artifact, but it was also around during T2A period. The difference is, that the minor artifact could be gotten from monsters (paragons) and the ones during T2A period were made by Seers.

Alot of the unique items we remember from around this period were Seer created. There was an item on Catskills called a White Stags Fur. Graphic wise it looked like a regular fur, but it was a grayish/white color, not pure white. Orignal owner was Cashman, he said it was Seer made from a quest. Years latter OSI/EA made a white fur, some item from a quest around the period they brought Elfs into the game.
Another neat Item from Catskills was a Giant Black Pearl. This too was a Seer created item, from some fishing quest or contest. It was the size of a boa ball/cannon ball, but colored like the black pearl reagent you buy from the NPC. I have a huge list of Seer created items from Catskills back in the day, and one of them was a Polar Bear mask, but the item wasnt uniqe to just the Catskills shard.
