Dispelling a gate

Disspelling a Gate only closes the side you close it on, leaving the other side open and still very much active. I discovered this when someone got on my ship after I had closed the gate on my ship. I'd sure like to see this corrected.

That's how it's supposed to work. If you do a forum search I am sure you will find the patch note where this "feature" was intentionally added.
