I would stage an event like this.

Create an all new dragon a hell dragon if u like with a ridicously high HP like a million but it cant heal it self.
so once it lose a Hit point gone forever.
But when it kills the corpses decays immediately no recovery of items. and allow it to destroy houses and everything inside as well. Make it move slowly so ppl have the option to redeed.

Let it wander the world randomly slowly dying by being attacked. when it hits a town it kills all the npcs.

just my 2 cents.

That would be absolutely insane (like hundreds of idocs all at once) and an insane amount of fun for everybody except those who lose their houses ... As much as I am a fan of total chaos, however, I must admit that the security and stability that the housing system provides for an individual player is something that should not be violated (except in extreme cases such as banning a player for exploits).

I think a giant hell Derrick would be better. Only destructible if all the player of UOSA unite to fight him (which would obviously never happen ). Walking around he could have an automated script to detect and explode out of existence near by houses that have no other purpose than hoarding a bunch of useless junk that makes world saves longer. He would of course roam through every town destroying all stables and thus finally solving that particular pain in some people's arses. All tamers would have to keep their pets at home of course but none will ever be safe as long as the giant hell Derrick is around. This will be an automated event running 26 hours a day where everyone who participated gets a free furniture dye tub so we could all have neon purple treasure chests (yay) although you can still die if you attack him (aww). Much like the great Jebus, he can walk on any type of surface and thus even the AFK fishermen will not be safe from this terrible plague. How will we ever destroy this giant hell Derrick? You know how

And they can never create another account to replace it. It still goes against their 3 account limit!

An interesting idea. The housing bit is not a good idea, but the idea of random things like this as seer-driven events would be nice.

Housing is out of hand. People with ooodles of money have 15 houses and use one or two. it's stupid, but accurate. VERY few people would pay $30 a month to have that many homes, but some did. I never owned more than a small on OSI, because I spent my money on relevant things. They have already lowered the decay time to two weeks, which in my opinion, has only enabled the die-hard freaks that play non-stop, to accumulate even more and or better spots, but if they want to spend the time making the money and putting down houses, so be it. On OSI you couldn't even find one spot for a small, at least here you can still do that.

I would just bring a gaggle of newbie-character archers and plunk away at it for a while. This wont help server item quantity.
