UO Second Age

I have often looked at the Pic of the Day and wondered what other players have thought of it. Anyone else feel the same? Would a commentary section just add problems and room for trolling or an opportunity for humorous comments, praise, and backstory?

Great idea. Could be trolled, but regardless, it would be more interesting that way

Trolls like Brules and The LawL Firm would ruin it and give a bad impression ofnthe shard to people just browsing around. Better to not have them find about their ilk until they in game or exploring the forums in trash talk.

Could make it only available when logged into a forum account ? like the trash talk section

Agreed, if you are registered on my.uosecondage.com then you can see/add commentary, otherwise it's just a pic for the masses

Would be sweet if we could get forum/my.uosecondage accounts linked but as I recall that is much more tedious than it sounds

I can't wait to see the brilliant commentary from some of the more scholastic forum dwellers

I voted yes. The pic of the day should be at the top of the page next to UOSA logo. I dont know how many folks still go through the landing page to get to forums.

Okay, I'll need a database template to work with (forum member info), an underlined forum name for myself, and 60k in silver to get started.

I vote there should be a delete for pics you put up, and/or the "pic of the day" box shouldn't be checked as default. I was putting some up and kept having to reedit them due to size and forgot the stupid box was checked, and then they posted under pic of the day. I'm old, I can't remember such little things. There should be an "oldtimer" handicap selection in profile options. =p

Just automate adding the pick to a first post, in a forum section where users cannot create new threads, and it has the same visibility as trash talk. When clicking a pic of the day in the gallary, link to the associated forum post.

Easiest lazy way.
