Cant get UO working.

Hey guys, I noticed yesterday when I logged on it says my client is not recent. I decided to try and update my client by going into the folder and clicking on UOPatch. This did absolutly nothing, it never went all the way up to 5.0.8. just cancelled itself everytime.
So I decided to re-install UO_ML, which I did last night. Now, when I try to patch it the same way, it wont go any higher than 4.0.11. which is way less than what I had patched recently. I cannot play now becuase I get a -Null- error when razor comes up, I still can not patch my uoclient.
Can anyone help me out? Im desperate and I am horrible with computers. BTW this seems to happen to me everytime freeshards want updated clients and whenever razor starts thier own updates.
I just started here and need help!!

basically just reinstall the UOML and u need to patch uo to 5.0.8.3

Thats what I tried doing, last night I reinstalled UO_ML, I woke up today to try and patch it, then it stopped patching at 4.0.11, and wont go any farther. I delete the patch files in the patch folder and try again, nothing.
I guess Ill try again, anyone have anything else? It takes forever to dl UO_ML and since it didnt help last time, anyone have any other ideas.?!?!

I would patch fully.. Thats what I am running as of now.

It's usually recommended that you don't as it can cause issues with RunUO software. You also end up replacing the original 2D art with some very inferior work introduced with Samurai Empire and Mondain's Legacy.

I've merged the two threads that were on this issue, I had repiled to the first and found that infomation was already given in the other thread.
Did you install over you're old version without deleting the files? I think this could cause this problem.
It may help to backup your /desktop dicretory and then delete the whole uo folder before reinstall.

if your still having the patching problem I've noticed, Deleting the contents in your Patch folder in your UO Directory helps. Its fixed my problems more than once.

Got it working guys, thanks for all the help.
Seems the UO_ML client I was DLing wasnt installing fully. Got it from cnet.com.
BTW the markeedragon client isnt there anymore.
And yes Keathus that seemed to help me aswell.
