Yes yes, you read it correct. I have locked my only remaining key in the boat cargo hold. My story is...I was trying to complete a quest and transport an npc to oclo when I died just before arrival (in my boat). I ran around oclo trying to find a healer to resurrect me so I could go back and loot my body (which had boat key # 1). I found a healer, who was broken and wouldnt do anything for me. I had to look more...when I finally found the healer shop and returned to my boat at the dock...my body had decayed. So...here I am...with no way off this island except for my one remaining boat key to my boat which is in my bank. I retrieve the key...hop in my boat...and head back to brit. I use my tracking skill this time to avoid all monsters until I get close to shore where I get snagged by a serpent. Just before getting serpent snagged I put my key in the cargo hold so that...if I do die again...and cant find a healer...it does not decay also. I die by the serpent. I ghost ship back to the docks and hop out to go find a healer. When I return...my boat is locked and my key is in the cargo hold. I didnt want to pester a GM with this...but is this something they would do for a player? just get my key out and give it to me?

Actually, I've never been a ghost on a boat... but if you can open the plank, then I know of a way to get your key if you are still your ghost on your boat.

Certain places, you can WALK right onto the plank from the shore. One example is the south end of brit (something like straight south from the east reg shop) as in this picture below.



IF you cannot open the plank as a ghost, I know of a few cliffs that you can drop off of onto your boat. Let me know if you need that info.

I am, of course, implying that you drive with the ghost and have a 2nd account's character walk on the boat.

this is Normal Game play! and GM's should not interfere, your boat is Lost and will decay in 10 days

You can also park just southwest of Minoc bank with the bow into shore and simply walk on/off the boat.
