UO Second Age

Just started playing here about a month ago came from another newer shard but I am never going back this is 10000000 times better.

I do however have a problem , I am constantly crashing usually when picking up smaller things and also when I am around the houses new to the Yew bank i seem to crash when i run into them quickly or click on books.

Has anyone expierenced these problems ?

I am thinking it has something to do with using the custom patch from the other shard i played and/or using a custom tree hack which also customized several other features as well. Like gem size, key size, the color of bags and bank

Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you !

I would recommend using the UOSA-specific client. I would imagine this will almost certainly fix the problem. I imagine you could still have some of those "large gem" / "stump" hacks, but I don't know (it's not illegal on this shard, although admin's would rather not see screen shots with them)

I will most likely do that ,, might help a bit my ping usually avgs anywhere from 40 -60 which isnt terrible but i still feel real choppy at times this may solve the problem.

There are issues with the fully patched client. I'm able to play okay, but I can't make new characters with it. So yeah, patching too far is not advisable and using an older client can't hurt, especially if you're only playing the one shard.

You could try turning off the music by unchecking it in the options menu.
