A funny story on era accuracy

I tame this wyrm two days ago, I hunt here & there with him, I go kill several demons and a couple Balrons (not on purpose) with this wyrm. Kill one of two PK's at blood elementals with it, run off a couple PK's by themselves (one vs one stale mates 8/10 forcing pk to leave).
So pretty good day, my wyrm has probably close to 3k on him and jewels. Im feelin pretty good, I gate back to Skara Bra, I immediatly go straight to the bank to deposit and..
I see someone casting gate, I IMMEDIATELY say all follow me and he obey's, he gets herded, I say all follow me he obeys, he gets herded again, I then spammed it twice to hopefully counter herding but the wyrm still pulled toward the gate and BAM gone just like that
I was not afk, I was completely aware, I have 98.1 taming gm lore, wtf
I love stealing mares, I absolutely love it, but do wyrms/dragons really need to be gated in a town for era accuracy?
Derek should code it where if a pet is on follow while in a guard zone it cannot be herded. If a pet is not on follow mode in a guard zone it can be herded. That way you can still steal peoples pets but not if they are on follow in a guard zone. Lesson learned though, I have had pets gated when I first started taming dragons but learned quickly, this though was just asininely funny there was nothing I could do to avoid losing that wyrm. They both had to have been herding that thing in that gate.
To further the era accuracy of things, Tamers should have priority stabling pets, you have people filling stables up with imps, cows, sheeps, and other worthless pets. Tamers with taming (and lore) above %x.xx skill level should have unlimited slots, where as people with only 50 taming or less should not be able to stable more then x amount of pets.
It's not a big deal it is easy to tame more dragons & wyrms, but I am just going to say this . .
Some changes OSI made were for a reason, were for the better, not all, but some just made.. sense.

1. feed your pets.
2. dispell gate.
3. gate to a stable quik
i dont even own a tamer but it hink its pretty easy to keep his pets.

yep it's a simple numbers game bro, two people casting gate will run out of mana by the time you do from dispelling the gate, 20 mana per gate dispell as opposed to the 40 mana per gate. they have to have 3 players there with them to be able to pull it off.

I'm failing to see what the point is here. You got out played, because you didn't play very smart. In the time you spent spamming "All Follow Me", you could have cast a single "An Grav".
I gate pets away from people quite a bit. The smart ones don't lose their dragons/wyrms. The ones that start spamming "All follow me" repeatedly in panic mode lose more than they win.
Really, all I see your post being is a thinly veiled whine about how you got outplayed, and you want Derrick to write up some magic code for you so you don't have to actually learn how to counter pet thieves.

I don't want Derrick to change anything per say, if he changes it though who I won't complain though lol. I am not complaining it is suppose to be just funny, because it was, I didn't spam anything. I was decently far from the gate, i countered two herd attempts with all follow me, my wyrm never failed on all follow me. Two people herded him, I have Dispel Field hot keyed like every other spell I use but I will admit.. I did not think of dispeling the damn gate, it did not run through my mind. I don't play that often or have been on the shard that long, but now I will always dispel field a gate asap near my dragons. I just recently started dispel fielding gates because normally honestly don't care if someone comes through my gates I will kill them unless its a clutch thief
I see dragons and wyrms sitting around by themselves every single time I play, my bard still has gm herding so... Do unto others as they will all do to you I guess

Era accuracy is what this shard is built on, if you start changing idiotic things like this because someone lost their pet to a more skilled player then crys about it on the forums then your going to run into more problems than its worth. You said so yourself you gate other peoples pets away, seems like karma to me.

Couldn't agree more, Why not do both? cast dispel then spam your follow me macro. Quite simple really, unless you can only handle one thing at a time then well, your doomed from the start

from my recollection, there was a time during t2a that spells did 1 dmg in town. Was a way to gain resist with this method as well.

One of the best aspects of this shard, is the fact that staff doesn't pander to the whining of a few people.
"Change this because it would make my life easier" doesn't fly. Unless there's documented proof that your particular gripe is actually EA, that is.

Wasn't a problem then, isn't a problem now, deal with it and grab a tissue.
