To celebrate the removal of our ability to modify posts on the UOSA forums I have decided to start selling a few fringe assets I have collected over the years.

Private T2A Entrance/Exit
How it works: The boats are situated on the edge of the Britannia/Lost Lands Region allowing for you to recall to one boat key from Britannia and the other boat key from the Lost Lands. From the red square in the picture you can recall to the Lost Lands Directly. I have used these for over a year and kept a personally rune library on deck for easy travel.

Safe Macroing: Given the recent determination regarding the line of sight issues, these boats provide a rare safe and hidden spot for you to macro characters.

Price: Approximately 5 million gold. I will be donating this gold to the friends I have left playing on UOSA, however I feel that these boats are one of a kind, and until the recent forum post changed I would have never considered selling them. So if you want them, make an offer that will make me consider selling them.

Items of Value Accepted: Unique Rares, Silver, and other bankable desirable items will be considered. Especially if it can be added to the museum.

Terms: This is not an auction, this is your chance to make an offer that convinces me to sell these boats. There will be no posting of private bids in an effort to convince players to increase their bids, like other players seem to do these days. The only private bid that will be posted, is the one that convinces me to sell the boats. The buyer can request the right to remain anonymous on request.

Verification: Since I will not risk issues allowing someone to visit the boats, I have recorded a RPV of me using the boats to come and go from T2A (RPV Download)

What you are buying: 4 Boats, 8 boat keys. And the assurance that I do not have any characters logged out on the boats.

One of the most epic blockades available in UO! If not THE most epic!

even tho i doubt you'd have to do it, u could dock and reset the boats which would bump any players to land that could be on it

On OSI boats were not permitted to block areas such as this. This type of blockade was part of the reason they made the spaces between houses mandatory because of congestion like this. Boats were never meant to be used as permanent real estate property. I thought staff had mentioned something about that before too. Subjecting objects like this for removal?

I agree. I know for sure DW and a few others had their ships moved while doing a blockade like this. If any thing move the 2 blocking ships so the spot is not a mini trammel.

As Derrick explained to me in regards to the LoS issue - it is an era accurate mechanic. Placing boat blockades is in my mind, an era accurate mechanic as well. Staff has stated they do not wish to social engineer UOSA - so would removing a boat blockade not be socially engineering?

Why did they take down DW's boat blockade then?

They was blocking shipping lanes from back to cove to the open ocean. No one could pass back and forth.

There is no such thing as social engineering when you are on the water.

I certainly think so, but also these particular boats are not blocking access to anything. So as much as it's a different scenario, removal of either is definitely social engineering, providing it was established to be mechanically accurate.

If the open seas are truly to be free Kander....shouldn't these practices be perfectly acceptable to you?

Nay. Any way you can make your self 100% safe from either npc or player interaction should not be allowed ( unless its real estate ).
And even houses are not even 100% safe as we can tell. We might as well open up event arenas now and let any one with a stat red sit there where there can be no harm.
