Yeah not worth more than small really unless you at least knew they werent all level 1. Thats easy to figure out though

Wish i knew what was more likely... the established player keeping high lvl maps or the established player working the high lvl's and leaving all the lvl 1's in his house!

anyone want to split them with me? 1/2 the risk?

if yall could help me out and give me some info on how to see what they are i will do it.

a character with zero cartography will still be able to decode level 1s. decode a couple and if they are decoded, then the box is probably full of 1's. if they don't decode then we know its at least 2+

You don't even have to decode it. Just double click on it once. With 0 Cart you probably won't decode it but the message you get tells you whether it is level 1 or higher than that. I think the message if it's higher than 1 is something like "too difficult to decode." It means you have no chance. The other message ("unable to"?) just means you failed, but you can.

Yeah applejack is correct, as long as you dont have 60 cartography i think you will be fine trying, it will say something along the lines of, you have no chance, or unable, and if it says this first try just keep double clicking about 10 trys, it is possible to fail on a lvl 1 im sure, even with 50 cartography. And try more than one. From my experience getting tmaps from idocs, most the time they are lower level maps that people just stash away. Higher level maps most times the player will do them for the cash/magic stuff, or sell right away for the money.

I will bid 60k for now though regardless of the situation.
