UO Second Age

Since I cant get anyone to get me in the Orc guild (not that it would help) I would like to start up a new Orc guild and get recruiting. The problem with this is I have no where near enough money to buy a house of reasonable size or of suitable location. And I damn sure dont have enough time to make a gang of money making chars and farm all the time just to struggle to get someone to sell me a house in a location good for an orc guild. That being said, would any of you long time rich players be interested in sponsoring an orc guild? It would be a through and through orc guild with strict adherence to RP. I want to bring back the orcs but without a guild, a house or a tag above my name to promote Orcs the best I can do it run around and get killed while scratching by on killing liches for a few k.

So any philanthropists out there? What do ya say? HOOWAH ORCS!

Would love to see orcs again. But honestly, so many new players come through here with high aspirations for guilds, just to disappear in a week, I'm sure youll have a hard time finding anyone wanting to throw away chunks of money.

What you just said seems to sum up the problem with this server very well. The older players are well entrenched in the game giving the new players almost no room to grow, even if they do grow they have few aspirations to try very hard because there is nothing to do but buy the scrap house of some guy who has more gold than he can hold in two extra chars banks. And sadly, it seems these older players log on just to refresh their house and click on their piles of gold for 5 mins every 3 months.

This game is too old and too out of reach for it to become anything big again but if the older shard players were to help by moving a bit of their girth out of the way it could help. When I joined the NEW guild quickly took me in and helped alot. If more people were to do that with their stagnating piles of gold it would help. After all its only gold that means nothing in a made up world. A little bit of socialism would help this server quiet a bit I do believe.

That‘s very kind of you but are there any places that are even open to place houses? And location is a bit of a problem... orcs are not allowed to use magic or ride a steed.

There are tons of small house spots.

Also, you might want to consider talking to the guys over at http://www.bloodrock.xillin.com/forums/, maybe they could set you up with one of their vacant orc-fort properties.

Not true at all. I received about 140k in handouts in my first two weeks. You just can't go around asking for piles. Most of the time if you're a legit player, just asking for a spellbook so you can get started, people will help out. If you're not really trying to get started, just trying to set the world on fire, you won't get anywhere.

Some ghosts from Bloodrock have reached out to him. Hopefully soon this new upstart clan will be clomping and shaking down the current generation of humies for shinees and cidur.

Im glad people are interested. Anyone wanting to get the orcs going again please send me a PM and we can talk more.

For now, if you wanted to get an orc started, the general orc guidelines apply.
Skin color, no hair, basic orc language ability(not hard at all) and an ability to not break character under any circumstance. Being as we would be new and very susceptible to pks and such I recommend getting your character started to a reasonable level. A reasonable level would be being able to resurrect a fallen orc.
