UO Second Age

Ok, just downloaded and installed the client package. I am trying to get into the game but no luck at all. As soon as I enter a password and account name, i freeze at the connecting screen and when it comes back up it says it wasnt able to connect, try again in a few moments. I tried disabling my firewall and tried using sp3 compatability, but nothing is working. Also, I tried to connect to IRC and am having issues not being able to connect to that. The intermet is fine and I have no issues logging onto this page so I dont know what is going on, please help !

What operating system are you using? For Win 7 or Vista I think you need to run it in XP compatibility mode, and also run it as admin.

I use XP, so not positive, but I'll dig out all the info I can and paste it here

Damn, sorry, can't help much then.

What I can tell you is: if you want to get into IRC where people can help you, you might want to try using an IRC client like mIRC or KVIRC. Apparently the java based web client is unreliable and not always works.

I personally use mIRC which has a lovely trial period which I have extended for over 1,000 days with only a minor inconvinience while starting up.

Yeah that's my problem, i was using mIRC but couldnt connect.

That happens sometimes, I just completely exit the program and relauch and works wonders.

Also, some channels came under a spam attack yesterday or the day before, they might have beefed up security connecting to IRC.

Make sure patch osi encryption, or whatever in razor is checked. To see this option, you need to enable razor's welcome screen.

Haven't tried that, what does it do?
