The newness of it all. I played UO for a relatively short period of time in era, and I was definitely NOT a power gamer.
I enjoyed wandering around discovering things and hanging out with people.

Stones. The music of the game, the 'feel' like Ultima VII (ie: click on anything to get it's name, living by the virtues, my paperdoll) and most of all, my friends being just as n00b as me but we could all do it together.
