Magic reist

First time poster ! Howdy folks, Im in need of help.
Starting with 100,25,100 Eval at 100 magery at 50 and resis at 30, no armor.
Magery gains seem ok, med gains ok.
Casting firefield gave magery gains and resis gains just as normal,
I changed over to lighting bolt till i hit 62.5 magery but only gained .2 total resist gains.
Casting in town , also tried out of town, in bank you name it.
I thought ok maybe it will change when i start using ebolt. Started using ebolt at 62.5 till 82 magery , gained .3 total resist. Ok noticed i almost never get the "You feel yourself resisting magic" Only partly macroed this, all casts done manual, used macro for Med only which seems to work ( slow but my fault, not timing it right).
Im now at 83 magery and 56 resist, what am i doing wrong, please give me some pointers. I wont work up anymore magery till I get this figured out.
And by the way I just love the shard!!!!! Its been a long time, used to play on Atlantic.
