UO Second Age

So I was out on a sight seeing voyage this evening when I stumbled upon Alcatraz. He started attacking me so I sailed away. He hit me with his crossbow a few times but nothing that couldn't be healed. He tried to use Telekenesis (I am assuming to try to get my ship key if I had it). I eventually made it to the Jhelom guard zone and he declined to follow me in. His buddy Maplo however came sailing in later while I was hiding on the boat and was quickly insta-killed.

Anyway, I am wondering If I had simply stopped my boat and recalled away would he have been able to loot anything off my ship as long as it was locked and the loot was all in the middle?

Poor Maplo...

He died four times yesterday prior to this.
Alcatraz once and Horngold once, they are all the same person mind you.

Anyway to answer your question, as long as doors are locked and anything on the deck is either in the recall spot or immediately in front of the sail or in the hold, and your key is NOT on your corpse then you're safe.

Poor Pirates, it doesn't strike me as a great way to make a living. Even with Archer bots.

Malpo is a terrible pirate.

I'm a terrible PvPer (always will be) and I have the feeling that even I could have taken care of him if I had decided to throw a few ebolts instead of running.
