UO Second Age

I have been playing on this great server for aprox. 1 year now.

I am however wondering why there are no events. Seems that events has been a part of this server earlier. Is it simply a matter of being too time consuming for Derrick, or is it a matter of lack of playerbase or what?

this has been discussed up and down but basically (from my understanding) Derrick doesnt belive we need them and he is right without events this shard is just as strong as it has always been and now people are actually playing the game although i do wish theyd bring them back for no reward but that is there choice players can run events GMs dont need to

Actually, the main reason they were taken out was a fair deal of exploits around them and staff has had other priorities before events. In other words, anything to do with the "real" playing world has a priority before fixing a Trammel event.
