Guide: Using the Enhanced Client on T2A

Here is a quick guide on getting the Enhanced Client to run on The Second Age. The client is unsupported by RunUO and there are known gump issues but for the most part it works just fine.

Note: You are unable to create characters with the Enhanced Client so make sure you create your characters with the classic client first.

Step 1: Download and install the Enhanced Beta Client at http://uo.com/Client-Download

Step 2: Run the patcher to fully install the game.

Step 3: Download the UOSALoader.rar at http://forum.theabyss.eu/index.php?act= ... ost&id=231
- You might also need this DLL http://www.driverskit.com/dll/link/2373.html

Step 4: Unpack the UOSALoader.rar files in to your Enhanced Client directory. By default it's C:\Games\Electronic Arts\Ultima Online Enhanced

Step 5: Open cheese.cfg in notepad and replace the contents with 64.34.215.106:2593 and save the file.

Step 6: Run UOSALoader.exe and log in as normal.

Enjoy

Thanks Sauron! But it seems there are a lot of things that dont work. I can admit spellbook and some actions like healing yourself, arm/disarm. But mabe it was my fault. Anycase thanks for interesting experience

No Prob  There are some gump issues like the spellbook but the new macro system is pretty nifty after some playing around with. There's a built in bandage self action but it doesn't work properly. You can create a macro to bandage self in the macro menu by clicking and dragging actions from the action menu. Also, you can download Pinco's UI which makes things alot easier. http://www.guain.it/pincoUI/

Nice, but it is rather hard to play without magic. Hope someday it will be done. I like this client because i have no "teleports" while riding on a horse.

I figured out what had happened. Got it working but then when I logged on it didn't detect that I was riding a horse/wearing a black robe. The only thing it detected was the fact that I had a key in my bag.

I wish we could have the choice. The old client with the low resolution and flickering textures is just awful. Second age + new graphics would be AWESOME. Finally, my brothers would probably get in because they can't get over the old graphics.
