Boat key glitch?

Hi, I'm pretty new to UOT2A so maybe this is normal but.... I locked my backpack key in my boat on purpose knowing that I had one in my bank box. When I tried it the bankbox key wouldn't work. I got a message to the effect of "wrong key bub". I tried a key from the bank box of another of my characters who had it previously and purchased it since the key didn't despawn when I passed the boat on. Neither have worked. Does anyone know how I can get back in>

Are you sure the boat was locked and not next to an area where someone could have "jumped" onto it? If someone did get onto it, they might have drydocked it and you lost your boat.

No it's still there, but maybe they got the key that I left in a lockbox in the hold :{

Any char with enough lockpicking can pick a lockbox

I think the boat was locked, but maybe it wasn't. Oh well they're pretty easy to get. Thanks for the replies.
