Was thinking about building a ranger type character to do something different.

Is there a trick to raising tracking or is it skill based?

So to gain skill do i simply have to set a macro to track, click animals, click 1st animal in gump, loop?

or do i have to track different animals or follow them around or do anything else?

Is there any advice/trick to gaining skill?

Thanks.

Raising tracking is like raising hiding: just loop it. There doesn't even have to be anything in range.

just looping the skill does not cause gains for me.. do iu have to track anything particular? i looped it all night and didnt gain .1 just using the skill over and over there has to be a better way to gain..

If your looping it in a town, your macro should look like this

Use skill Tracking
Wait for Menu (timeout in 1second)
Menu Option 1 (or whatever, not players though, try animals in town)
Wait for Menu (timeout in 15second)
Menu Option 0 (close window)
Menu Option 0

Theres 2 menu options at the end there to prevent you from opening several windows due to lag.
