UO Second Age

I can't seem to find any vendors selling ID wands, so I decided to try to farm some myself. I went to the covetous lich room (as I remember liches dropped a lot of magic wands) and killed about 10 straight liches, everyone of which dropped a regular gnarled staff. Do liches drop magic wands? If not, what should I be farming to find magic wands?

Liches do drop wands, but they are kinda rare.
You can also find wands in locked chests in dungeons.
