Are you annoyed when you engage a liche and he doesn't do the classic evil laugh when he targets you? Tired of those subpar Orc sounds from UO:R?

The above link is the sound files (sound.mul and soundidx.mul) from Derrick's UO Client that has been modified to play the Classic UO SFX sound files for various creatues and spells for the game.

-- HOW TO INSTALL --

a) Locate and Backup your sound.mul and soundidx.mul from your UO Client Directory. save them to a safe location just in case something screws up or if you are not happy with the mod.
b) Unrar the downloaded file.
c) Overwrite the existing sound.mul and soundidx.mul

Dragon (as best I could this one was kinda hard)
Dropping Gold / Gems sound

Giant Spider
Lion
Panther / Couger
Skeleton
Harpy
various spells
maybe others as well..

I think I got them all right and they are accurate. Enjoy! If lots of people find this of good use, perhaps someone can upload it to a more stable location. Thanks again for all the great work on the shard!

** Please note that I installed the UO Client from Derricks site, if you have a different client this may not work, use at your own risk etc. **

This is a little off topic, but is there anyway to extract these files as .wav?

I would like to sample these files in the cleanist fashion possible, but it looks like running a mic to the speaker, or routing the output of my mixer to the tape-in may be the only way. I know there is a .mul editor, but I simply couldn't get that program to work.

Any ideas?
