UO Second Age

I started working on Lockpicking today.

Trained to 27.1 from the tinker guildmaster.

Made a 50carp 50tink toon, and made a red chest

doule click picks then the chest, get "you don't see how that lock can be manipulated" message.

I can't get lockpicking to riase at all, not even .1

I checked my real skills, I am below 700 and have even set some skills to lower.

I tried picking in my house and in town.

What am I missing?

Got some help in IRC...

dont start lockpicking with a 50/50 box, start with a 30/30 box.

getting gains now.

Just a quick FYI -

I JUST did this, using a 30/30, 50/50, 70/70 and GM (purchased as a package near Yew bank) and it took me just under 600 lock picks to get to 95/94.9. Also, I did have my dex locked at 10.
