Weapon charges

Are the charges on weapons supposed to be based on your magery skill? Shouldnt they act like wands/gnarled staffs with a set magery skill to them?

They did act like the wands etc a while ago, then a patch came and made them go on your toons magery skill. No patch note was posted or any evidence that they were based on magery?

Weapons still base their damage off of a set value, although the damage is higher than it should be for some spells. I also do not see any patch note where the damage was changed to be based off of your Magery skill.

Well if you try out the charges you will see, for example weakness used to debuff 10 for 30 seconds but now it debuffs 2 for like 3 seconds on my toon that has 20 magery.

I tested this myself just a few moments ago. Magery has no effect on the total damage or duration of a weapon effect.

I just tested with a axe of weakness on my low magery toon and it got resisted 5 out of 6 hits, then on the last hit it lowerd the strengt with 6 for about 2 seconds. I dint almost even have the time to switch screens.

If magery had any effect on the strength of these spells, then the debuff should have been 2 on your character with about 20 magery.

i know but still it lasted for about 2 seconds and uselly it debuffed 10

I just tested debuffs again, and there is no difference in strength, regardless of whether the wielder has 100 or 0 magery. The debuff strength is always the same.

Edit: There is an issue with the length of time that debuffs last for that needs to be corrected, but this is in the same arena as fixing many of the weapon hit issues.

So its always -6? The timmer on the defuff lasting still shouldnt be 2 seconds, did you check that?

Stat debuffs should always be -4, which is a current problem with our stat debuffs. Also, the length of some spells is effected by the magery of the wielder. This shouldn't be the case for any spell, and indicates some sort of bug.
