Where can I get silver weapons other than player vendors? What monsters drop them and what dungeons do I visit?

Any magic weapon found Anywhere has a chance to be a silver weapon.

monster dropped loot
mibs
tmaps
dungeon lockpick chests
etc etc

I've aquired most of mine via chests... Either with my lockpicker doing dungeon chests or my cartographer doing treasure maps. My lockpicker picked up a silver/vanq spear yesterday from a lvl4 dungeon chest.

What level 4 chests are you lockpicking and where? I go to shame, destard, ice, fire and have lockpicked at least 100 chests by now and have yet to see a silver weapon.

That seems odd... I'm sure we frequent the same chests since there are a limited supply of lvl4 chests (Cove, Hythloth, Shame, Wrong, Despise, Fire, Deceit). I've kept ~40 silver weps that are force or greater (swords, fencing and macing) and trashed the lower level silver weps. My picker is gm though, to give you an idea of how many chests I've gone through... The bulk of these weps have come from dungeon chests since I just gm'd cartography on another toon about 2 weeks ago.

I only have 95.1 lockpick. Maybe being gm adds something to the loot ratio? I will keep at it in hopes of seeing something soon.

skill or where you go adds nothig to silver wep chance ratio.

like i said above already earlyer any weapons from anywhere has the same chance to be a silver weapon.
only thing is that some sources give more loot so more chance to have a ilver in there as there are more weps in yer chest or whatnot.

You need 60 detecting hidden with 95 lockpicking to get the best loot.
