Arms Lore skill

I doubt this is era accurate, but Arms Lore sucks. I don't want a paragraph about the item, I simply want to know its damage and hit point parameters.

Anyway we can implement something so this skill is useful?

No one else has Arms Lore?

Here is a scenario, ole crab juice claims he has a unused vanq katana for sale. You do a quick item id, and indeed it is a vanq katana. You do arms lore, and indeed it says 'unused'.

Now, how the hell do you know if this katana wasn't beat to shit, and repaired with a 50 smithy guy? It would be fully repaired, and look unused, but it would indeed be much degraded!

The only way to know is by lookin at its hit points :/

Way to rally for armslore. Im taking up a petition on Forensic Eval. Lets say ol' crab juice kills some guy and you wanna know just how he did it, and weather or not he let the corpse "rest in peace"......

Taste ID is the only way to determine the actual contents of a potion keg on a vendor
Forensic ID is kinda handy for hunting thieves
