Mr Darwin, it looks as though evolution happened.

10k for a slot? Fucking ridiculous. What the fuck are you doing to this shard?

This entire server is being exploited.

What the hell is everyone thinking? I play an animal tamer because I like a character that interacts with the world on a different level than any other persona I've ever experienced on a video game.

The fucking homepage says UO "The way it was".

Who remembers buying fucking stable slots?

This is a tragedy of epic proportions because an entire class has been ruined.

This isn't fucking evolution. This is the extinction of an environment.

Wake. Up.

It's more like 'The way it would have been if people had five years to tap out every possible shit stirring exploit or nuisance to a level of annoyance never before experienced'.

Just build a tank mage bro. See you at the GY.

I agree. This shard has turned into a trainwreck, and it nothing like how it was during T2a.

step one: make a book to all the stables
step two: recall to each stable checking each npc
step three: profit

It might take a few days but you will find some spots eventually. I don't agree with it but there ya go. Not sure why there needs to be a limit per npc. Limit per character should be more like it.

Step four: delete your tamer
Step five: Sell everything you own and bank sit

The reason for the limits are simple. Era accuracy.

There have been threads a plenty on this, and I've read a number of them, but at the end of the day it just isn't remotely era accurate that stable slots were continuously in such short supply. I understand the argument that there was *a* limit (and thus to be EA there must be one here), but evidently OSI's goal in determining that limit was that there were still generally sufficient slots for the population.

I submit that the *shortage* of stable slots isn't EA. Something which can only be remedied here by having unlimited stable slots, apparently. At any rate, I find it interesting that NEA line in the sand is drawn just before the stable entrance, all the while ignoring other facets of the shard which are not EA.

Wow people are full of attitude tonight. It was merely a suggestion on what worked for me. The guy hasn't played in a while and may not realize that the slots occasionally do become available. Just have to work a little for it.

Each shard had a different number of stable masters based on need...
As has been stated before, we already have more stablers than in Era...
It was quite at the discretion of the GM's, though...

The current logic on this issue is that no shard had this many Stablers as it is, so no more should be added.... However, that logic completely ignores the fact that the T2A Era never lasted as long as this shard has. The logic is flawed.

Therefore, I think they should add in stablers right and left and get rid of this nonsense....but that's just my opinion. :P

At the very least, I'd think an adjustment to make it so that the stables aren't always full would be warranted. I know, I know...they'll just tame more and fill them up! So what? They responded to the playstyles of the players in era...doing so on this shard would be no different.

For real, though, if you want to make a case for argument....make it along the lines of what I just outlined.... ;)

Apparently Mr Darwin, you wussed out hella quick.
I play a tamer but also several other characters.. in only three weeks back since finally getting internet again at my new residence (lost all my stable slots and pets long ago) I have been able to get 40+ spots, tamed 5 mares, dozens of frenzieds, dragons, WWs etc and even gave 10 of those slots to a fellow tamer in my guild who lost all his pets to some kind of bug... My tamer splits time with the other characters I play. Was it easy? Not really its gonna take some effort and you will have to be patient and get lucky sometimes when a tamer lets all his pets non-refresh poof out of some slots. Or be vaguely sneaky and have a stealth type or atleast a hider jump out and claim some spots when some stable whore is refreshing. Evolve or go extinct, grow a little sackhair before you throw a weak panicked BF on the forums. And have enough latent intelligence to figure out that people arent really charging 10k for a stable slot. If anyone has actually paid that much..they obviously have so much gold that they dont care...thats ridiculous.
