UO Second Age

Anytime, anywhere on this shard I use a blade spirit or energy vortex players instantly run at it so I turn grey and then pk me. Even when I already have these summons fighting players still go out of there way to turn me grey so they can attack me. Is it best to never use these spells unless you have no choice on this shard? Should I just use summons I can control to avoid this all together? Are there better ways to utilize these spells I am unaware of?

Try other places. I use EV a lot and most of the time don't have to worry about turning grey.

If you do turn grey, recall to a non-town spot you've marked on a rune, fight, or hide.

you could go red.. then they'll just ignore your blade spirit and go straight for ya.

One must be cautious when using such powerful and unpredictable magic.

Perhaps you are right to use magic that you can better control, young wizard.

Keep dispel and target by type murderer ready and just dispel them.

If you hurt a player, heal them to full and leave and they can't count you for murder by killing themselves.

depending on what you fight, use summon deamon or summon air eles' just as good minus poison but good dmg.
