In original UO, you got them with a third party program...bascially a command line program with a single purpose. It changed a regular dye tub into a black one. Here, I think that people get them by using points.

You won't find one. You buy them with trophy points and they have limited charges.
This is why you see true black clothing on vendors for 200gp and up often times

Ahh, so if I want a particular piece of clothing black, I'd be better off requesting it from someone who's got one. Thank you! ;)

With regards to the points .... I here they are trophy points? How are these achieved? I dont recall ever even hearing of trophy points. I think I must have bought and looted my black tubs back in the day. Can anyone advise? And how many uses before the tub runs out?
