Small home safe spot not safe after all?

Hail my fellow Britannians. I make this post today to inquire regarding the safety of my home. Two of my characters were just recently murdered while both were occupying the supposedly 'safe spot' tile of a small home. This is a first for me, and I'm stumped as to how it may have happened. I take the usual precautions, and I have never been pked inside a small home that I own. In this particular home, I have a char logged in for much of the time, unhidden, but also in the 'safe spot'... thus I've never been murdered all of these times. If anyone can inform me regarding the safety of lack thereof of my home, I would appreciate a helpful reply here or via PM. One character as macroing magery via casting on his spellbook, and my other character was just sitting still doing nothing after having used the spinning wheel. Neither of them were taking any damage. While I have a safety wall built as you can see, I have items on the ground in front of the wall, as well as the bags pictured that could be grabbed if someone had gotten inside my front door but not past the wall. I've never been house-looted.. and as nothing was taken or left, I'm 99.9% sure that the murderer did not gain entrance through my front door. Also, my two character's mounts were left alive. I also have the murderer's name if needed.

Thanks for any useful information you may share with me.

Earthquake wouldn't work if he was in the right spot.

Door may have been unlocked?

EQ wouldn't kill by itself. I'm guessing LOS bug.

Maybe from a boat, or the hill behind?

LoS issue as far as i know uses hills and water to its buggish ways. I think also if the house is stone based affects it as we'll. Now I have never been attacked this way or used it, it is only what I heard when I returned to UOSA from a friend in the aftermath of the issue.

No screenshot. I hadn't thought to enable that option via razor (will add it for future reference).

100% Door locked. I have the only two keys still, and I never unlock the door for any reason. Key wasn't stolen or otherwise obtained.

LOS option seems most promising at this point. After posting this I have gone around trying to find a vulnerability. From the hill in the back, I am able to target metoer swarm onto the roof.. but apparently not far enough into the house to do any damage of my characters in the 'safe spot'. There are also numerous changes in elevation around the front corners of the house, but no luck when trying to use them to LOS under the house.

Update: So using a boat, I am able to use a last target hotkey and successfully cast meteor swam/chain lightning under the house. Yet once again, my character's in the 'safe spot' are not taking damage?

Thus far, the roof of the house can be targeted via the hill to the north; and the ground beneath the house can be targeted via a boat to the south. However, the issue remains my inability to actually inflict damage after successfully casting at my LOS target location.

What about throwing exp. pots at these locations? Wonder if that would be possible?

Worthwhile guess. I tried but was unsuccessful. Still it was fun watching explosion potions being hurled at my home's roof only to hit the side and go boom!

Let it be known. I will offer 20,000 gold coins to anyone who can kill my character(s) that are standing in the 'safe spot' if the attacker is outside of the house. I won't give you a murder count if you are successful.

Otherwise, I have to assume a murderer was able to sneak into my house. If so, I give much respect to that murderer. Sure, I lost about 10,000 gold coins worth of regs. Yet, I consider that the only reference I can find to my murderer on the forums is one of being a 'sneaky miner pk'. After all, what murderers regularly roam Verity Isle? This person would have had to successfully stealth into my house, and wait for me to afk before killing me. If so, the murderer could have chosen to kill my mounts and steal/trash the various bags of items within reach. If this was the case, I respect the murderer for choosing not to do so; and instead re-fortifying my efforts for home safety. Either way, I'd love to solve this mystery.

I am pretty sure I can nail you there...and not even from a boat...boat might be easier, but still can do it without it. Maybe tomorrow we can set an appointment and I'll tell you how.

Also, where you taking damage? (ie. macroing magery/resist?) If this is the case, then it's even easier.

I'll take you up on this. Please PM me on IRC when you're available, my handle there is BobMarley. I'm available 4am to 11am est.

Alternatively, just leave your characters there and PM me your co-ordinates. When you return to your computer, if you see a bounty box by PINK BOOTS please give me a murder count and use the bounty to pay me the 20k. I'll PM you instructions on how to replicate it.
