UO Second Age

So whats the skinny on these? I read an post from Derrick that these areas in Keeps can not be marked and/or recalled to and that Castles can still be marked and recalled to using runes.
I recently obtained a keep and wondered about this for security purposes or what not.

what could someone do if they have a rune to yer keeps courtyards?

Would re-deeding and then deeding the keep void the rune? Or could you lock down "titles" in the courtyard to block any recalling in?

Neither. What is marked is the ground, so unless you moved the keep to block the runes, little or no good will come from redeeding it (other than marking your own runes, of course). Also, you can no longer block the area with impassable objects such as chests, since now these can decay in courtyards.

You cannot teleport into courtyards, but you can most definitely recall/gate into them.

so there isnt really a way to make yer keeps courtyards secure as stuff decays there and there is no way of knowing if a keeps courtyards are secure to begin with

Looks like it. That kind of sucks if you're buying from an already existing keep or castle...

Maybe I will just stick with smalls, L shapes and such.

It's not as bad as it sounds. There definitely are Keep CY's marked, but most people will seldom check them, as the only real thing you can do (as Vega said) is kill the person inside...IF you're lucky and he's standing close to the walls. I have not been able to recreate the LOS killing inside keep CY's because you don't have the space to move away from the wall, maybe someone more skilled than me has.

You happen to have some marked for my Keep. You should know the one I am referring too I think.

I have gotten quite a bit of runes for CY's from cA members IDOCs, and I certainly have no clue what keep you are referring to. If you tell me who you are in game or on IRC I *might* know.

I was reffering to Vega, but sorry, My bad, I did not mention. I am looking for the CY for the Keep in Destard Swamp far S along the water edge.

Ah, alright. I don't think I have any for keeps in destard swamp. I have most on Trins swamp, tho.
