UO Second Age

So its been about 6 months since the last one!

Think with all the new houses and players out there it is time to issue another world wide challenge?

What do we say?

Sounds like a good idea.
Give everyone a week to get ready imo.

also note : maybe we can find a new way of judging this contest than last time. Last contest was open vote and empty houses belonging to guilds won over nice ones :/
Panel of judges?

Perhaps this could be instituted by staff? (Staff could be the primary judges with complimentary selected players)

A theme should first be decided on IMO.

I've been wanting to do this again too.
I really would prefer to have players vote in this rather than staff. With our larger playerbase i think the chances are good that this will be less of a factor than last time.

It certainly wouldn't be fun if it was an open vote, certain guilds would win automatically just by numbers.

I'd help judge. Im pretty much a 1 man show here so no biases to worry about.

I don't see why staff wouldn't just vote on it, would make everyone happy.

I am relatively new to the shard so I wasnt here for the last even. Might I suggest that entrants be judged in different categories based on house size or something of that nature?

You can always have a panel of new players judge the houses? Most people that have started within last 2 months do not even have rares or many rares to decorate, not sure just though.

Any of the Staff that does programming should not vote. It is a known fact that 75% of all coders suck at design. We learned this in a programming class I took a few years back

I think the players should decide on a player panel and have rewards givin based on their decisions,
i agree that in open vote guilds will walk away with all prizes based on voting,
but i do think it should still be the players to decide the winner, not fair to put all the pressure on staff
