Traps on Dungeon chests

I've got killed like 3 times by trapped dungeon chests then the guy just recalls in and loots me. How is this possible? I unlock it, then i step far away and telekenesis it open and I still get blown up lol

hes tinker trapping it, which has a larger range than the default traps on dungeon chests (which are one tile normally).
Hidden tinker, go gettem!

Do you know what that range may be? I was atleast like 4-5 tiles away I swear

8 tiles iirc. Much further than 4-5 for sure.

If your not GM Lockpicking, you probably already have some detect hidden skill anyway right? Use it often.

Tinker traps have 2 tile radius if they blow up, and 4 tile radius that you'd take damage if telekinesised. Pretty much the same as other types of traps, except dungeon.
And does sound as someone is stealth tinker trapping...not the first time it's been done.

I have had this and also hidden PKs near chest. I only carry one rune now and that's to te bank, enough regs to recall, teleport and tele open the chest. Then unload at bank and hit the next spot. If I'm PKed they get little and to be fair most of the guys will res.
